Ruby on Rails Developer

 

 

Interstate Capital is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer. This is a demanding role in which you will be responsible for building new applications and maintaining existing systems used by the company on a daily basis. You will be reporting directly to the CIO/CMO.  You will also be liaising with internal stakeholders as well as external resources to ensure that all development tasks are carried through on-time and per specifications. The successful candidate needs to be flexible, dedicated, and committed to the success of the application requirements set by the company.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

·         Developing new Ruby on Rails applications using Rails 5.x.
·         Maintaining existing Ruby on Rails applications using Rails 1.x, 2.x, and 4.x.
·         Upgrading existing Ruby on Rails applications that use older versions of Rails to 5.x.
·         Communicating with the Interstate Capital team and providing technical support of all applications, including fixing bugs, reviewing log files, and answering questions related to application functionality.
·         Scoping, documenting, wireframing, and integrating new feature requests.
·         Writing well tested, maintainable code.
·         Integrating applications with third-party APIs.
·         Documenting new application functionality.
·         Managing the deployment pipeline and hosting platform, and making sure the hosting platform is stable.

Compensation

 

·         $80,000 USD / annum
 

Working Hours

 

·         Official hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Mountain Time)
·         Availability: 24x7 to support urgent matters on mission-critical applications
